Eurecat in your process : Oil refining processes
  Light naphtha isomerisation catalysts :
Eurecat has a wide experience in treating isomerisation catalyst and regularly carries out the activation step of these catalysts for various manufacturers.
Off-site regeneration is usually the most efficient way to recover the activity of zeolite or chlorinated alumina- supported isomerization catalyst. The regeneration process can include a carbon burn-off step but often needs further preconditioning such as hydrogen reduction or hydrochlorination in order to give the user a ready-to-use catalyst.
At the end of its life, Isomerisation catalysts are sent to precious metal recovery plants. However, due to the presence of free hydrocarbons chlorine or coke, some catalysts need, prior to precious metal extraction, a roasting that Eurecat can carry out.
