This guide shows the range of services provided for catalysts used in oil refining and petrochemical processes.

Eurecat in your process : Oil refining processes
  Naphtha Reforming catalysts :
Eurecat offers a wide range of services on reforming catalysts used in semi regenerative units (bi or tri metallic catalysts) or CCR units (mono or bi metallic catalysts).
These catalysts are very sensitive to contaminants and rough operating conditions, and sometimes can be irreversibly damaged. Only thorough lab analyses can show whether a given catalyst batch can be regenerated successfully. Once the regenerability of a batch is proven, the regeneration is carried out in a contaminant free unit. The Eurecat process which includes a carbon burn-off and oxychlorination is reliable and the experience has shown that in some cases, the activity of the regenerated catalyst is higher or equal to the activity of the corresponding fresh catalyst. The catalyst can also be reduced under hydrogen atmosphere to shorten the activation time. Hydrogen reduction can also be offered on fresh catalysts.
Density grading can also be carried out on CCR catalyst to separate circulating catalyst (good catalyst) from heel (immobile) catalyst.
